2. Professional Cutting Techniques
By adjusting the angle at which you hold the clipper against the nail, you can achieve three distinct shapes:
Square Cut (Straight): Hold the clipper at a 90-degree angle (perpendicular) to the nail. Clip straight across.
Round Cut: Hold the clipper at a 45-degree angle facing toward the nail. Clip to create a smooth, curved edge.
Well-Cut: Hold the clipper at a 45-degree angle facing away from the nail (the tip of the clipper pointing toward the technician). This creates a deep curve, perfect for pre-shaping before filing.
3. Special Feature: Hidden Blade Storage
This model is unique because it includes a built-in storage compartment in the handle.
How to access: Gently lift the inner lid at the tail end of the handle using the small indentation.
Function: You can store 2–3 spare blades inside. This ensures you always have a sharp backup ready to maintain clean, snag-free cuts.
4. Maintenance & Cleaning
Blade Care: After every use, wipe the blade with a lint-free wipe soaked in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. This prevents cross-contamination and removes any adhesive residue from the tips.
Sharpening/Replacement: If you notice the clipper is crushing the plastic tip rather than cutting cleanly, it is time to replace the blade.
Lubrication: Occasionally apply a drop of professional clipper oil to the tension spring to ensure smooth, effortless operation.
5. Safety Precautions
Artificial Nails Only: This tool is designed specifically for plastic nail tips. Do not use it on natural nails, as it may cause painful splitting or trauma.
Finger Placement: Always ensure the client's finger is safely clear of the U-shaped blade before clipping.
Sharp Blade: Exercise caution when opening the handle storage to avoid contact with the spare blades.
